Prewitt Gallery Donates to Playing for Life Foundation

Almost every one of us has a loved one, dear friend, or valued colleague whose life has been forever changed by breast cancer, this insidious disease. It is the most common cancer in women worldwide. This year, a breast cancer will be newly diagnosed every 1.7 minutes and a woman will die every 13 minutes. One in eight women in The United States will receive a diagnosis of breast cancer in their lifetime.

MISSION STATEMENT: To raise funds through different platforms such as golf tournaments or other events to benefit breast cancer research for the purpose of finding a cure, early detection, survivor care, support and treatment. As this is an all-volunteer organization. Since 2010, 98% of funds raised have been donated locally to other organizations specifically involved with breast cancer research, survivor care and early detection, which are also exempt under section 501c3.

Hal Prewitt has gratefully donated several of his images to help support the efforts of the Playing for Life Foundation.
